      • Annie Tinsley 15/03/2013 at 18:43 #

        Hi there,
My name is Annie, I am one of the most ginger people you will ever meet. My fiery red hair is a beacon of light when all other lights are out.
I am from London (where I am well know to be called the grated carrot), when I am casually walking around London I have strangers (mostly tourists) come up to me asking for a photo, normally I say yes being the polite girl that I am. But I must admit it all this paparazzi is tiering after a while.
Anyway, enough about my story. Its all about ‘I collect gingers.’ I really want to get involved, have my photo posted, I am ginger in mind body and soul, ginger until I die.
Together we can populate the world.

        Love you all
        Annie
        xxxxxx

  44. Dan 12/11/2012 at 21:16 #

Our own redhead women will make sure we will go extinct. They got to much chooise in men. So why would they choose for a redhead men. Its a womens chooise to have a redhead baby or not. Redhead men are only 1% of the world and redhead man that are sexual potent {old men, children and so}, are even less as 1% of the worlds men. Spermbanks disscriminate in not taking red hairs men sperm in their banks. So this will reduce our numbers even more by time. Unless redhead women and redhead men start looking for eachother. We really will go extinct.

  45. Cassie Bush 27/11/2012 at 15:33 #

Love the photos….but one question….why weren’t there any African Americans featured….you might not know it, but there ARE plenty of “black gingers” out there too!

  49. bcole 15/03/2013 at 22:02 #

I am an old ginger with lots of gray hair. However, my daughter is 1/4 Asian (Korean) and yet with red hair and brown eyes. Would you like a picture? We have one of her at three years of age that is very cute. She’s still very cute but now 21. There is a slight Asian look in her eyes accompanying her gorgeous head of hair.

  50. Tabatha jones 16/03/2013 at 00:46 #

My 4 year old daughter has ginger hair and people stop us constantly to say how beautiful it is… To read a positive story like this is great and I’d love to show her these photos… your work is fabulous ♥

  51. Alice Thwaites 16/03/2013 at 02:25 #

I’d love to be ‘collected’!! (I’m ginger and proud, obviously)

Also, I recommend Tim Minchin’s song ‘Prejudice’ to all of you, I’m sure you’ll love it (and him) as much as me! 🙂

    • Gracie Novikoff 17/03/2013 at 01:56 #

Being a ginger is half of my identity, and it makes me so happy that you are honoring gingers across the globe. I would love to be a part of this!!

  55. Emily Pollack 18/03/2013 at 06:00 #

People tell me all the time that I look like Merida (from Disney Pixar’s Brave) and it make my day. My brother and mother are both gingers and my friends call me Gingy. I have always wanted to be a part of the Weasley family. My cat is a ging (her name is Sexy Sadie because, hey, gingers are pretty damn sexy) I love my hair, an my pale-milky-freckled-easily-burned-never-tan skin.

    Go team Carrot Tops!

  56. Rebecca Lazar 19/03/2013 at 05:33 #

    Dear Anthea,

I’m a ginger and tried dying my hair a dark brown once. Worst mistake I’ve ever made. I have grown to love my hair color, especially since you can’t find it in a bottle or in a salon. If you ever have a chance to photograph in the U.S. or Canada, I would love to be a part of your project.

I feel that my hair color gives me a superpower that most people don’t have.

    Thanks!
    Rebecca

  57. Natalia 22/03/2013 at 00:59 #

We got you covered in DC, NY, and Chicago. Just let me know

  59. Judy Tetour 26/03/2013 at 20:28 #

I love, love, love your site! I wish I could be one of your collection and hope you will be in the Chicago area taking pictures soon. I have two adult ginger children to add to the collection as well, though so far they have not produced ginger children of their own (but it IS a recessive gene, so perhaps the next generation). I only wish my father and his three ginger siblings were still alive. I always wished there was a group shot of the four of them in color.

  60. Heidi K 29/03/2013 at 19:03 #

Hello from a San Francisco ginger!

  73. Angela Ferguson 26/11/2013 at 16:18 #

Hey are you still looking for gingers?

  74. Bronwen 16/02/2014 at 18:56 #

    Hi!
    I am a red head!
I think what you are doing is fantastic. I have never been bullied for my hair colour but I know people who have and I know how horrible and demeaning it can be. However I feel that you can only be bullied for something as small as your hair colour if you are not confident in how you look. If you are uncomfortable with yourself then people can see that and exploit those feelings. I believe that what you are doing is raising awareness for the natural beauty of red heads everywhere and helping people feel confident and satisfied with who they are.
    Thank you.
Ps: I would love to be a part of it but I live in Liverpool so it might be a bit tricky, do you do tours?

  75. annita petry 28/04/2014 at 17:54 #
